English Cocker Spaniels

Cute English Cocker Spaniel puppies kissing each other. Actually, they are licking peanut butter off their faces after we finished some mouth handling exercises. One of the best ways to help teach your dog to like having its mouth examined is to use something yummy to rub on their teeth and gums. After they are good with that, you can start using doggie toothpaste and a finger brush.
In this particular case, one of the puppies had some aggression issues developing. We wanted to teach the puppy to readily accept tooth brushing as well as being able to safely examine their mouths. This is also helpful to practice so that if you have to take something out of your puppies mouth, they are going to be less resistant.
