Private sessions available for those needing specific help or enjoy the "one on one" experience.

We look forward to receiving suggestions from the public about running a particular type of class.  Please use the "PRIVATE or INDIVIDUALIZED training"  button.  Be sure to mention your town and availability in your message.

Some of families have been getting a group of friends together and having me teach a "semi- private class.   This can be fun especially if the group has one particular goal in mind. ( e.g. Canine Good Citizen or Therapy Dog Training)

How did  they get Shamu to do that trick?

You and your dog can learn how in this unique course. Sonia's experience working with dogs and children inspired this fun and innovative class.  Children get to work together with their dogs using games and contests while, at the same time, discovering the basics about how dogs learn. She uses the same techniques the animal trainers at Sea World use to train their performers! Help develop a lifelong love of working with dogs in your children. Sonia is a well respected dog behaviorist and has experience presenting fun and innovative ways when working with young handlers to cultivate that deep bond between kids and their dogs.

Canine Good Citizen/Therapy Dog Foundations

This seven week course will cover the CGC test items. It also includes fun games and conditioning exercises with our K9 partners. As senior living centers and adult communities become more common. the need for therapy canines will increase. When your K9 partner earns a therapy dog title, as a team you offer a service that gives back to the community. Dogs with the ability to calm and focus on their handler are good prospects for this course, at any age. This course includes a mock CGC evaluation test (for reasons of official AKC rules).  Information about an official CGC test will be available at the end of the course.   More info on the CGC and Therapy dog training can be read on the links across the top of this webpage.

Meets Sundays from 1-2 pm Cost: $120.00  This class meets once a week for 7 weeks.

CLASS FOR TAMING THE EXUBERANT DOG

Feisty Fido - Getting a grip on your reactive dog.

This class is designed for people who have dogs that lunge, growl, snap or bite at other dogs or people when you go on walks.  We will teach you a non-aversive method to get your feisty Fido to behave in a calmer manner while on walks. It will be very similiar to the "Click to Calm" method by Emma Parsons.   Most of you probably have dogs that react to other dogs.  Others will have dogs that react to people.   We will touch on both issues during this class.

This class will be on Thursdays at 2 pm in the Central Bucks area.  The cost will be $180 for seven sessions.  Phone and email support between classes will be our priority for this class.
